Villa des Orangers
Villa des Orangers is a delightful old riad, situated within the walls of the old medina and close to the Djemma El Fna Square, which has been converted into a charming hotel. The Riad has been carefully decorated by Veronique and Pascal Beherec, the interiors of this palace is filled with beautiful transpar¬ent fabrics, sofas and pillowcases embroidered with gold thread.
All the rooms are beautifully and authentically decorated but offer the modern comforts of air-conditioning, room service, mini bar, telephone and satellite TV. There are two swimming pools, one refreshing plunge pool on the roof with views across the medina to the Koutoubia Mosque and the Atlas mountains and a second, larger, heated pool in a connecting ground floor courtyard. The interconnecting courtyards offer shade beneath orange trees and cool, cushioned alcoves. Other facilities include a big garden, full of plants, a health and beauty salon, a restaurant that blends French, Mediterranean and Moroccan influences and a cigar cellar.
