Al Tarfa

Al Tarfa is an eco-friendly lodge with the comforts and facilities one would expect from a luxury hotel. Situated in Dakhla Oasis, in Egypt’s western desert and set in 200,000 square metres the lodge has been built to blend perfectly with its surrounding, desert dunes, mountains and the greenery of the oasis itself. Al Tarfa Desert Sanctuary Lodge & Spa have recently received the 'Golden Tent' certificate to become Egypt’s first & only Eco Luxury member. The lodge was chosen for its distinctiveness, quality and commitment to recognised eco projects.

The twenty rooms have all been individually designed and built using traditional techniques as well as local and natural building materials. Each room is decorated and furnished with a modern yet classic style and all have their own character. The hotel also boasts a spa including a sauna, steam room and indoor heated pool plus a small gymnasium. The outdoor pool is set atop a sand dune with wonderful views across the palm trees and the desert beyond.
