Gina Corrigan has been visiting China for over 3 decades and started leading her own special interest tours int he 1980s. As a historical record, Gina collects Chinese textiles and her collection has been exhibited in the UK on numerous occasions.
We are offering a NEW tour in 2010 to include the Dong Minority in Guizhou that also inhabit Hunan and Guangxi Provinces.
Group Tour Dates
Thursday 4 November - Saturday 20 November 2010
Group Tour Outline
Days 1 to 3:
Overnight flight to Beijing. Next day flight to Guiyang, visit to local Museum
Days 4 to 5:
Journey to Kaili, visit to textile dealer. Visit to Matang, and afternoon visit to museum.
Days 6 to 7:
Drive to Zhenyuan, Visit to silver smith. Morning Lecture by Gina before journey to Tianzhu
Days 8 to 9:
Continue to Liping. Two days touring the local area
Days 10 to 12:
Drive to Zhaoxing, visit local indigo dyers. Cross the mountains to Congjiang. Continue north to Rongjiang.
Days 13 to 14:
Depart for Sandu. Possible visit to a remote Miao village. Overnight in Danzahi before journeying back to Guiyang.
Days 15 to 16:
Fly back to Beijing, afternoon at leisure. Morning return flight.
