Royal Tree Lodge
On the edge of the Thamalakane River, the lodge nestles in 400 acres of riverine trees and acacia woodland. Despite being only a 20 minute drive from Maun town the seclusion makes the lodge feel it is deep in the heart of the bush.
The eight en-suite safari tents are stylishly appointed and superb meals are served in the main dining area or on an expansive shady deck under the majestic leadwood and bird plum trees. A refreshing swimming pool allows you to cool off in the heat of the day.
Royal Tree Lodge offers some of the best riding expereiences in Botswana, the horses are owned and managed by David and Robyn Foot (with 17 years experience in the horse safari business) and are well trained and accustomed to the resident wild animals. For riders the Royal Tree Lodge and its environs have it all. Fabulous riding for all levels, young and old, close but safe experiences with the wildlife including giraffe, zebra, kudu, oryx, eland, springbok, impala, blesbok and duiker.
